Technical support to choose the right product

The DC6 Series high-density LED ring illuminators are engineered to provide powerful and uniform lighting for demanding automated inspection lines. Derived directly from the DL6 panels, this series integrates a central camera aperture, allowing system integrators to position the optical lens perfectly in the middle of the high-intensity light source.

Constructed using a modular 50 × 50 mm tile architecture, these units offer excellent scalability for varied machine geometries. The built-in MCCD stabilisation technology protects the entire array from power supply voltage drops, while HTTM thermal management and the robust aluminium frame with lateral T-slot grooves make the DC6 a durable, easily integrated lighting solution.

High density LED matrix with integrated lens to create a direct and homogeneous light beam, kept regular by a special fixing mask that ensures uniform LED spacing.
  2. Industrial Connector
Threaded M8 connector for easy assembly and quick disconnection for maintenance; the cable is fixed by a flexible cable gland to ensure a small bending radius.
  3. Aluminium Casing
Black anodised aluminium casing ensures high heat dissipation from the LEDs and excellent mechanical robustness.
  4. Reverse Polarity Protection
The internal circuits are protected against reverse polarity of the supply voltage in the event of incorrect connection of the power cables.
  5. High-Efficiency, High-Intensity LEDs
Latest-generation high-brightness, low-power LEDs with integrated lens, produced by a leading LED manufacturer.
  6. HTTM© Technology
A special layer of high thermal transmission material between the LEDs and the housing keeps the LED temperature constant.
  7. MCCD© Internal Driver
The integrated Multi Constant Current Driver stabilises the LED current for improved homogeneity of the emitted light.
  8. 48H Test Certificate
Each illuminator is subjected to a 48-hour test cycle and a test certificate is issued with the product.
  9. Industrial Design
The entire DC6 family is designed for industrial use on vision systems and optical test benches, for machine builders and system integrators.

Frequently Asked Questions

What distinguishes the DC6 from a standard LED ring light?

The DC6 is a high-density LED matrix built from 50 x 50 mm tiles with a central camera aperture. Compared with conventional ring lights it delivers a much larger and more uniform illuminated area, with an integrated MCCD driver that keeps the output stable regardless of supply voltage fluctuations.

What sizes does the DC6 series cover?

Nine standard models from 150 x 150 mm up to 550 x 550 mm, including rectangular formats such as 250 x 350, 250 x 450, 350 x 450 and 450 x 550 mm. Other dimensions and aperture sizes can be supplied on request thanks to the modular architecture.

Which LED colours and light intensities are available?

Standard DC6 models are available in neutral white 5000K and infrared 850 nm. Minimum light intensity ranges from 800 cd (white) and 4.2 W/sr (infrared) for the 150 x 150 model up to 12000 cd and 63 W/sr for the 550 x 550 model; higher output can be obtained with overdrive control.

How is the DC6 controlled and connected?

Each illuminator runs on 24 Vdc with an integrated MCCD driver supporting continuous, ON/OFF and PWM control up to 100 kHz via an external signal from PLC or camera. Connection is through an M8 3-pin pigtail connector; larger formats have 2 to 4 cables that must all be connected.

How is the DC6 mounted on a machine?

The anodised aluminium frame has lateral T-slot grooves for sliding nuts; AISI 316 stainless steel brackets and a screw kit are supplied with every unit, and the central hole lets the camera and lens be mounted on the optical axis.
